i went to go see the sweeny todd play at the fox theatre.

DECA Area

On December 9th, 2008 i competed at DECA area. this year i was in Technical Sales, and i had to come up with a Wii and Accessories package to sell to a retirement home. i was really nervous but i knew i would do well because i did a tremendous amount of research and studying! i probably worked on my powerpoint for about 20 total hours, and about 5 hours doing practice tests.
i ended up getting a 91 out of 100 on my presentation, and a 63% on my 100 point test.
i got 1st place on my presentation, and 3rd on my test score, so overall i got 2nd place!!!!
this means i'm off to state and i'm so excited! :)

BORED BORED BORED

it started as harmless fun one evening....and then i got creative....
and then just plain silly :)....
it just went downhill from there....

WOW

so i just realized that i haven't post in almost a year! let me get you up to date....

Jan. 2008-
i went to the DECA State competition and got 6th place! unfortunately they only take 5 to nationals so i was the alternate :[... i missed it by ONE POINT!

Feb. 2008-
pretty uneventful

Mar. 2008-
got a job at Little Caesars

Apr. 2008-
rainy lol

May 2008-
I ran for ASB Activities Coordinator for the 2008-2009 school year, and was elected! :)

June 2008-
Got out of school!
quit job at Little Caesars
went to Achievers Scholarship camp

July 2008-
went to Camp Cispus, a leadership camp in the middle of the woods! unfortunately i didn't find that fact out until we got there lol
went to Business week at Gonzaga. my company got 1st place in the business simulation and 1st place overall! (out of 25 Buninesses!)

August 2008-
i got a job at Zips Drive-in on Sprague and Bowdish
I went to an Eastern Experience at EWU
school started on the 28th

September 2008-
i ran for DECA president and was elected! i also started working on my presentation for DECA Area.

October 2008-
I TURNED 18!!!!!
i took the SAT's and recieved a 1770
Math- 650
Writing- 620
Reading- 550
i also quit cheer because of all the DRAMA and because it clashed with my other interests.
i joined Drama and became their head of business.
the week before halloween i moved out of my mom's house and in with my grandparents
turned in my completed application to EWU

November 2008-
i auditioned and got the part of Lt. Klein in the play "Arsenic and Old Lace"
i went on a college trip for a weekend over to the west side of the state to visit colleges... and decided not to apply to UW, and that i wanted to go to PLU and SPU

Dec. 2008-
i finished and submitted my PLU application
competed in the DECA Area competition and got 2nd!
i also retook the SAT's but i haven't gotten my scores yet

scrambled egg!!!!

so last weekend, on friday, west valley and medical lake competed in the scrambled egg. which is a spirit competition at a basketball game... our girls dominated theirs... but the boys game was tight! needless to say... WE WON!

GROUNDED!!!!!!!!!

i haven't been able to write because i have been grounded since last tuesday! don't ask, it was dumb! so yeah! if you are in spokane, you should come to the scrambled egg this friday at like 5:30! it's that last time that i get to cheer this year! :[[[

looking for a job!

if anyone that lives near me is looking for a part time babysitter..... PICK ME! i need a job to pay for stuff for school, but i don't have enough time to get an actual job... i don't care how much i get paid as long as i do.... unfortunately, being in many things is not free.... i owe money for DECA, Cheer, and i need a new cell phone, so if you need a babysitter, or know a family that does.... call me at 290-6693... i can also do ther jobs as well... :]

yeah so i realize that i have not been on for a LONG time! well i had a great christmas! i got lots of fun stuff!

PSAT's

so todya during mentor i got back my PSAT test score.... i got a 1690... out of 2400... compared to all the others that i saw, i did really well. but that's not good enough for me... so i talked to my counciler about a website that has a study plan so that i can thoroughly plan for the SAT's....
here were my stats

critical thinking:
score: 51 out of 80
percentile of others in US: 65%

Mathmatics:
score: 67 out of 80
percentile of others in US: 93%

writing skills:
score: 51 out of 80
percentile of others in US: 67%

as you can see i did really well in the math, and not so hot in the reading and writing... i am going to study my butt off! then i can take the SAT's in May, so then i will have some chances to retake it if i do not achieve an acceptable score...

Today after school grandpa is picking me up from school and i am getting new snow boots! i am excited because my feet are cold! lol... today was pretty boring... i talked to mrs. henry, my counciler about college... she thinks that i can get into like Washington State University, or Seattle University... or something on the west coast...

there was a basketball game at Gonzaga University last night agianst Postfalls... we won! 51-34! yay!... it went really fast though!

DECA

so last friday... the 7th, i participated in a DECA regional competition... i did Technical Sales... my project was to find a bluetooth capable headset for a certain price, and other requirements... i had to do TONS of research and make a power point about it... then i had to pretend to be a sales representative, and sell my product to an executive (judge).... i had to convince them that my product was the best.... then i had to take a 100 pt. test on marketing concepts...

i earned an 89% on my presentation, and a 65% on my test... this got me 3rd place out of 15! SO I'M GOING TO STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am so estatic! It is in the middle of january, so i'm already getting ready!
